Paso del Cuadrado by Ian-Plant Paso del Cuadrado by Ian-Plant
I spent a cold night at a high mountain bivouac, woke up at 4:30AM, climbed a glacier by headlamp, just to get to this remote spot in the Patagonian Andes in time for sunrise. This is the view from Paso del Cuadrado, one of the most beautiful views on earth. To read more about my Patagonia adventures, and to see more images, visit my Photo Journal: [link]

That is what can be called an beautiful view as you say! The colours are amazing, and to change, it is not a sunset but a sunrise. Really an amazing photograph there!

It's a great shot Ian, but I don't think it does the place justice...the comp is very messy. What's your opinion on the shot if you were to remove the experience of being there and the effort you put into it?

That light on the peaks is just stunning Ian, very well captured. All round exposure, and use of foreground is great. What a place, hope I get to visit at some point in my life.

So hard to get a sense of scale here. I know that the peaks and valleys are absolutely massive but it almost gets lost in scope. Love the fg rock texture. Kudos
