Inner Glow by Ian-Plant Inner Glow by Ian-Plant
Keepin' it simple with this one, was attracted to the graphic shape and color contrast. Antelope Canyon, Arizona.

This is very surreal, it reminds me of a creepy painting a family member had of a cave, it also makes me think of the movie Aladdin too, or walking into a volcano :omg:

Love the contrast between cool, dark purple and warm golden orange, I've seen lots of photo's of this place traditionally in reddish colours so this here is certainly unusual for it 8-)

slot canyons get bounce light during the day which produces amazing colors. The sandstone is red, and rocks at the top of the canyon get lit by the sun, which is reflected on rocks below, which produces the warm glow. Rocks deep in the canyon that don't get hit by reflected "glow" light are only lit by light reflecting off of the blue sky above, so red rock + blue sky light = purple. I explain it all in detail in my latest eBook "Five Landscape Challenges": [link]

Amazing contrasting colors. Was this at sunset or did you aid in the lighting?

it's actually light reflected off of sunlit sandstone above. You get this deep inside slot canyons, lot's of colorful and warm bounce light, it's amazing to see in person

In the thumbnail I thought it was a pregnant woman and her husband holding hands. You see? The figure to the right (rock formation) starts with the womans breast, then to her belly and the protrusion on the bottom is her arm.
The male is to the left~

So this beautiful rock formation may even be symbolic! : D

Great shot~
